There are seedless varieties of mandarin oranges that work well for this smoothie, so you don't have to remove any seeds before blending (just the skin!)
You may have to pulse the blender a few times to get everything to blend smoothly, unless you're using a high speed blender.
Fruit can be more or less sweet depending on the season, you can add a little more honey if needed for a sweeter smoothie.
For a thicker smoothie, add less milk upfront and blend, then test the texture. You can add more milk as-needed until you get to a texture you like.
